Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.
This week’s topic is: Top Ten Hyped Books I’ve Never Read.
Now, I know I am probably going to get a lot of guff for a few of these. 😦 But, a few ARE on my active TBR!
I KNOW, I KNOW. D: Please don’t hate me!
~ Rei’sa
I love a lot of these, especially Perks (the movie is AWFUL in comparison), and The Selection. I’ve never read The Ember in the Ashes, or the Darkest Minds either, but I really want to!
I heard the movie was bad. 😦
Maybe we can do a read a long for The Darkest Minds one day? 😀
oooh that would be a great idea! One day, lol!
The Darkest Minds, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, An Ember in the Ashes and City of Bones are all great books, hope you enjoy them once you read them! Red Queen and The Girl on the Train are both on my TBR as well. Great list!
I want to read them, but I am not too sure about City of Bones. >_>; I have tried 3, 4 times and I just can’t get my teeth into it. Maybe it’s just me. 😦
That’s too bad.
Good thing there are other books that might be more to your liking! 😉
Exactly!
You’re not alone! City of Bones was on my list, too (it was my whole list, actually) and I haven’t read any of these other books aside from The Selection, which I would highly recommend. I hope to be picking up those other books soon. If you end up reading them soon too I look forward to hearing your thoughts!
I will be looking forward to your thoughts too!! 😀 😀
I also have Perks on my list, want to read but just haven’t been in the frame of mind. Not listed, but I also haven’t read The Selection Series though it seems like most everyone I know loves it. Good thing there are always other, better books out there to read!
That is how I feel. I pick it up, only to set it back down. 😦
Wallflower made my list too. I’ve read Girl on the Train and liked it. Good list!
Thank you! I wanna read Girl soon, my friends Juhina and Giselle rave about it!
Definitely read The Perks of Being A Wallflower. I beg to differ on the previous comment saying the film adaptation being bad. I personally thought it was a good adaptation, albeit may be not fantastic, but definitely better compare to other books that had a film adaptation. Nevertheless, that’s just my own opinion. The only issue that I may have had was that Logan Lerman was miscasted. He definitely does not look like a wallflower.
Well, I do have the ability to after reading it, I will see how I feel. 😀 I had just heard that a lot was changed and didn’t stay true to the story.
Yes it’s best to see and judge for yourself. I may have been not as picky when I was watching the movie and just thought it was good. HAHA
Happy reading! 🙂
Perks is such a wonderful book! I liked the movie too (I actually saw the movie first), but the book is on another level! 🙂 Hope you get around to reading it soon!
I think after all these comments, I will put it higher on my TBR!! 😀
